The Z440 is ISV certified, meaning Independent Software Vendor, so it has been tested to have reliable performance. The workstation contains 10 discrete processor cores with multiple processor options that can be used but Intel Turbo Boost Technology is only supported with certain processors. The system has a memory capacity of up to 128 GB of RAM, memory speeds can change between modules and CPUs and will default to the slowest performer. The system supports four storage slots with the 3rd and 4th slots needing an external bay adapter. If you choose to use the HP Z Turbo Drive Quad Pro in the PCle slots it will provide an additional 2TB of storage. You also have the option to use eight displays with the use of two graphic cards that support four monitors each, with this set up you will need a 700W PSU but for the normal display options 525W 85% and 700W 90% are recommended.
