Cisco's primary campus access and aggregation platform — between the fixed-uplink 9200 and the fixed-core 9500.
The 9300 is the workhorse of the Catalyst family: fixed 24- or 48-port configurations in 1G copper and multi-gigabit (mGig) variants, modular uplinks, and PoE+/UPOE/UPOE+ on compatible SKUs for demanding endpoints.

The 9300 runs IOS XE with Network Essentials or Network Advantage licensing tiers governing Layer 3 routing features and other capabilities. TekBoost supplies the hardware only — Cisco software licenses and subscriptions are not included and must be obtained separately from Cisco or an authorized Cisco partner.
